Creamy Hummus with Black Garlic

Have you tried black garlic? My dudes, it’s mind blowing 🤯 Black garlic will def knock your sock off! It’s like eating candy but… you know.. It’s garlic. Ok just try it! It’s delicious! ⁠

I made this delicious creamy hummus with black garlic, see recipe👇 The hummus recipe is inspired by my girl @everything_delish all time fave hummus recipe with my own twist. Thank you Jamie for sharing the love with us ❤️ ⁠

You can skip the black garlic and make your own variation, maybe add roasted garlic instead or just minced garlic, roasted red peppers, sun dried tomatoes, olives, whatever your heart desires! ⁠

INGREDIENTS: ⁠

1 can of chickpeas, a bit more if you want to use some for garnish ⁠

1 lemon, juiced⁠

1/4 cup olive oil, a little extra for garnish ⁠

1/4 cup water⁠

1/4 cup tahini⁠

1 tbsp paprika⁠

Salt, preferably kosher ⁠

Freshly ground pepper⁠

Optional: Here’s where you can play around with your flavor! You can add garlic, black garlic, roasted garlic, red peppers, sun dried tomatoes, olives, etc. The sky’s the limit 😊 For my black garlic hummus, I added 2 bulbs of black garlic. ⁠

PREPARATION: ⁠

1️⃣ Drain chickpeas through a strainer and rinse with water. Combine tahini and lemon juice in the bowl of food processor and process for 1 minute. This will make your humus extra creamy. Scrape the sides and bottom of the bowl. Add the rest of the ingredients and process well for 1 to 2 minutes. Scrape sides and bottom and season to taste. If hummus is too thick or still has tiny bits of chickpea, you can add 2-3 tbsp of water and process until you reach the perfect consistency. ⁠

2️⃣ Using a spatula, scrape hummus into a shallow dish and create one or a few indents on the top. Top with olive oil, chickpeas, paprika, chopped parsley and/or other desired toppings. ENJOY with veggies, pita bread or any bread your heart desires! ⁠
