Let’s fire up the grill, baby! It’s summer! It’s hot! It’s time to grab a cold one and grill some Kalbi 🍺 Here’s my easy and delicious recipe for addicting Korean style BBQ short ribs 🔥 These go extremely well with white rice or grilled corn 💘
INGREDIENTS:
2-3 lbs beef short ribs (thinly sliced Korean style)
1 cup soy sauce
1 cup sugar
1 cup water
2 tbsp sesame oil
3-4 garlic cloves, minced
½ onion, sliced
2 tbsp sesame seeds
1-2 scallions, sliced
1 tbsp red pepper flakes (optional)
PREPARATION:
1️⃣ In a large bowl or ziplock bag, combine all of the ingredients to make the marinade. Mix well to dissolve sugar into the mixture.
2️⃣ Add short ribs into the marinade and leave in the fridge for at least 30 minutes, but ideally overnight.
3️⃣ Grill the short ribs 5-7 minutes on each side. If you get a few burnt ends that’s fine, I find those to be delicious. Brush any leftover sauce on top and let rest for a few minutes. You can cut into thirds or 1 inch squares. ENJOY!
